this was one of the more different recipes that we have done in foods class because we had to blend all the ingredients with a blender.
this was reasonably simple recipe to make.
i dont know if this would be simple to make for lots of people
this recipe i didn't even bother to try because i did not look appetizing making it.
it resembled baby food. but after it was cooked it did not look that bad. but over all this recipe was not my type of food.
so i would not recommend using this for are banquette

potato salad recipe
This was a fun recipe to make because we could divided the recipe up evenly amongst the group so we were able to get it done quicker.
Self Evaluation
Preparedness. I was on time to class and i was wearing a clean apron and I had my hands washed and a copy of the recipe so for preparedness. I would give my self
If I were to make this recipe again something that i Would do differently is when chopping the pepper wash your hands right after because i forgot and my hand felt like it was on fire for the reset of the day
Something that i would like you to notice that are group did well.
we all worked together and finished the recipe and cleaned up.
Comparison between recipes
Something that I liked about both the recipes was how simple and easy they were to prepare
Even though both the recipes required potatoes the recipes were different as i recall one recipe called for red potatoes well they other called for white potatoes one recipe called for hot red peppers well they other did not and one we had to make a ranch dressing well they other we did not however both were good
If I were to choose between thees recipes to choose which one was better i think that the winner would have to be the ranch potato salad

Foods that we have mad this week........
this week we mad allot of different foods. starting with chocolate chip cookies and then apple sauce coffee cakes. and today granola. they where all fun and simple to make. the end results where really good
The chocolate chip cookies where my favorite they where a little different from the ones that we make in my house because the recipe called for granola but they still tasted good. some thing i learned bye making this recipe is that to watch where you put the vanilla because you can easily knock it off the counter and spill it.
Apple sauce coffee cake was fun to make it was a little different because i have never scene a apple sauce coffee cake. something i learned from making this recipe is that there are two cups of apple sauce in one of the containers that we used
Granola recipe. I had fun making this recipe. it was quick to make the only part that takes some time was the baking. The part I liked the most was mixing all the ingredients together...

History of strawberries paper
The modern strawberry comes from two different continents—North America and South America. And they accidentally met and started producing a new type of strawberry on a third continent—Europe. This happened about 250 years ago, probably in a botanical garden in France.
In the 1500s, explorers brought one of the grandparents of the modern Strawberrie back to France from Virginia. This Virginia genotype got their attention because it had larger fruit and a deeper red color than the European strawberries of that time. And it produced more berries.
But it had to wait nearly 200 years for the other grandparent to arrive from South America.
In the early 1700s, a French spy spotted this strawberry genotype in Chile while he was making maps of Spanish forts. Plants of this genotype produced really big berries—larger than the she had ever seen—so she brought the strawberries back to France.
The trouble was, they didn't reproduce in France. Not until scientists called horticulturists (hor-ti-CUL-chur-ists) planted them next to the Virginia genotype.
It wasn't long before a new strawberry was born. The horticulturists named it Fragaria x ananassa.
To day Six scientists from the federal government, universities and a commercial strawberry grower are holding strawberry tryouts around the country. Each of the scientists is growing 20 to 40 of the best of the Virginia and Chile genotypes, looking for traits they want the most.Reference http://www.foodreference.com/html/a-strawberry-history.html
How its thought that straw berries got there name
It is thought that during Medieval times the strawberry got its name because a strawberry plants looks like it has berries strewn on the ground, and strewberry later became strawberry. Another legend indicates the name origin came from 19th century school children who picked the fruit and began stringing them on grass straws. The kids sold them as “straws of berries.” Another theory is that the name was derived from the 19th century practice of placing straw around the growing plants to protect ripening fruit.
