1. Describe any new food preparation techniques you have learned by taking this course. How useful do you think these techniques will be in the future?
- I learned a technique when cutting garlic to turn your knife on the side and smash the garlic so you can then cut it easier and safer. I think this technique will be quite useful because i use this technique know ever time i cut garlic
2. How have you used time management skills in this course? Have you become better at planning your time?
- I have used time management skills in this class when cooking to know what has to be cooked, cut, chopped, steered, so that the recipe could be finished before the end of the class.
I think I have become better at planning my time for example. I am at home writing this on a sunday evening because i have nothing really to do and rather than watching television wasting my time I am using my time wisely by writing this blog.
3. How did you use budgeting skills in this class?
- I used budgeting skills in this class when we planned are picnic we had to figure out what we needed for the picnic then go to the super market to price it out and figure out what we really needed and were we could make budget cuts.
4. What did you learn from planning, cooking for, and cleaning up after the high school picnic?
- What I learned from planning the picnic that things do not always go the way that you plan. such as we planned for people to play games however i do not think that worked out so well.
- What I learned from cooking for the picnic that people are really hunger after school assemblies and you just cant cook fast enough.
- What I learned from cleaning is that it was hot outside and the tables were heavy.
5. Is this sort of major project one we should do again in the future?
- This is defiantly a project that should be done again although hopefully i will have graduated before you teach this class again
